'Abandon' is lost as a thriller

On the surface, Academy Award winner Stephen Gaghan's directorial
debut, "Abandon," is an intricately plotted, beautifully photographed
psychological thriller.
But once you go beneath the surface, it's a needlessly complicated
mess.
