Frontier League might play ball in Wisconsin

Officials consider expansion for 2004

The commissioner of the Frontier League, an independent baseball league based in Ohio, said Thursday that the league is looking to field a team in southeastern Wisconsin.

Bill Lee, who has been commissioner of the league since 1994, said he hoped a team and a new facility would be ready for play in 2004 or 2005.

"We are interested in that market," Lee said in a telephone interview from the league's home office in Zanesville, ...
