DNR sets walleye bag limits on 282 northern lakes

Walleye bag limits will be imposed on 282 lakes in northern Wisconsin this year, eight more than in 2001, the Department of Natural Resources announced Wednesday.

In addition, the number of lakes with daily hook-and-line limits of three walleyes per day will drop from 132 last year to 91. Another 188 lakes will have two walleyes per day as a bag limit, and three lakes will have a daily limit of one walleye per day.
