Ross loved both teaching and travel
Her education career took her to France, Germany and Japan

Teaching took Pauline Ross places.
First to Milwaukee Public Schools, where she was an elementary
school teacher for three decades, away from her far-flung family and
her birthplace in Massachusetts.
Then it transported her to Germany, France and Japan, where she
taught children on U.S. military bases in the midst of the Cold War
before again returning to teach in Milwaukee.
