Debt, falling enrollment force Mount Senario College to close

In 1965, Sister Mary Hyacinth, president of Mount Senario College
in Ladysmith, marveled at the rapid growth of the tiny liberal arts
school, which was then 3 years old and had 125 students.
"It's almost too fast," she said. "I always tell people we haven't
grown up yet because we haven't graduated anyone."
