Frankfurt, Germany -- German art collector Gustav Rau, who worked
as a doctor in Africa and last year donated his collection of more
than 600 works to the U.N. Children's Fund, has died, the United
Nations agency said. He was 79.
Rau died last Thursday near his home city of Stuttgart, the
agency's German branch said, without giving further details.
Rau worked for his family's auto parts business until he started
