Justin Davis scored on Jesse Thomas's ground out in the bottom of
the sixth inning to give No. 1 Riverdale Baptist a come-from-behind,
6-5 victory over Loyola of Baltimore in the Maryland Private School
state championship last night at Prince George's Stadium in Bowie.
The game was stopped at 9:07 p.m. on the advice of Bowie Baysox
head groundskeeper Al Capitos. Capitos was concerned about an
impending thunderstorm approaching. He said that because the Baysox
return home Monday night he felt stopping the game was what he had to
do.
