Kevin Conners' goal helped Cheyenne Mountain climb back into contention late in the third period Saturday at Honnen Ice Rink, but it was the only scoring the Indians could muster in a 3-1 Metro Hockey League loss to Battle Mountain.

The game matched Cheyenne Mountain's strong checkers against Battle Mountain's speedy skaters. For the most part, quickness won out.
