As Roaring Fork's Jake Dewolfe dropped back to pass from 12 yards out with 9.2 seconds remaining in the Class 2A first-round state football playoff game, St. Mary's was fighting desperately.

It was fighting to turn away an unthinkable Roaring Fork fourth- quarter comeback.
