HARTSEL - Serenity rules on Antero Reservoir ... Or does it? Something big, something strong, something mysterious and magical may be lurking below the surface.

Certainly the appearance is one of calm. Of peace. Tranquility. It belies an impending rage, a blind fury of creatures said to possess strength, endurance and a penchant for aerial acrobatics beyond what is considered normal.

The lake surface this morning is still. The water mirrors a passing cloud. Here and there, the rise rings of feeding trout send little ripples across the glass.

The calm won't last. Dust clouds slowly drifting ...
