In full stride/Wasson's Leo Rodgers finally has his life in order

Leo Rodgers has lived a challenging 18 years, and he doesn't mind saying it.

He's got it pretty good now. He doesn't mind saying that, either.

This weekend could be the crowning achievement, a happy tie-in after two years of hell. Rodgers, a senior at Wasson, could win four first-place medals at the Class5A state meet in Lakewood.

One state record, in the 100-meter dash, is within reach. He'll also run the 200 dash, the 400 relay and 1,600 relay.

His mom is expected to be there. Six months ago, she was in North Carolina, leaving Rodgers on his own. His son Dazmeir, 20 months old and ...
