St. Mary's catches fire, sweeps Salida from the gym

There may have been snow outside the St. Mary's High School Gym,
but inside it was raining.
The St. Mary's boys basketball team hit nine 3-pointers Saturday
in its 57-41 defeat of Salida (2-7).
The St. Mary's girls team also won, defeating Salida (7-7), 43-
31.
After a slow start, St. Mary's boys ignited late in the first
quarter, getting four straight 3s from Z.J. Poirer, Mike McGinnis,
Kevin Polnasek and Joe Johnson.
