Cheyenne Mountain makes amends with shutout victory

The Cheyenne Mountain hockey team looked forward to Monday night's game with Kent Denver.

After a loss to Doherty last week, any opponent would have sufficed. That Kent Denver was the state runner-up last season made the game that much more of a test, one Cheyenne Mountain passed with a 3-0 victory at Sertich Ice Center.

"After last week's loss to Doherty we thought the best thing we could do is come out here and whip Kent," defenseman Matt Rogers said.

It didn't take long for Cheyenne Mountain (6-1) to display its desire.
