Persian feast/Potlucks help re-create taste of home cooking for Iranians in Springs
|
Like the brilliant hues of a Persian rug, a spread of vividly
colored foods creates a tempting tapestry on the table at Karen and
Sohrab Niknami's Briargate home.
There's a platter of snowy-white rice with a golden-brown crust,
topped with dazzling red currant relish. On the side is a stew filled
with pieces of deep-yellow-hued chicken. Nearby are two platters of
meatloaf covered with bright tomato-red sauce.
If it's a feast for the eyes, it's even more of a treat for the
