GREELEY - From above Nottingham Field inside the coaches' booth, Kay Dalton will take a seat and coach.

He will be different. Always has. He doesn't have the title of the past 11 seasons with the University of Northern Colorado football staff. He's no longer the offensive coordinator. He's the head coach, taking over for Joe Glenn.

"I don't think the head coach has to be on the sideline," the 68- year-old said. "I don't think you can call a game from down there on the sideline. You can't see. All those distractions."

He'll start off Saturday afternoon in the coaches' booth when his No. 7 ...
