Q. After I had some occasional cramps in my lower abdomen, my doctor ordered a barium enema X-ray. It showed something called diverticulosis. I'm not having any trouble now, but my doctor said there was a chance it could cause problems in the future.

I found some information about diverticulitis, but not much about diverticulosis. What's the difference between the two? What kinds of problems can diverticulosis lead to?
