GREELEY - Tight end Byron Chamberlain returned to the practice field Wednesday. But he's still hurting a little, and it's not just his strained calf.

Chamberlain was injured during offseason workouts, and says he tried to return too quickly, re-straining the calf just a few days into training camp last week. That, he feels, is something from which he can recover.

But Chamberlain expected to be fighting for the starting job now that Shannon Sharpe is in Baltimore. Instead, Chamberlain is stuck at No. 3, as Desmond Clark has moved in behind starter Dwayne Carswell.
