Sending NHL's best to Olympics is easy call
|
DENVER - In Tuesday's contribution to the world of irony, the NHL
un-broke from its All-Star break Tuesday - during which it was
supposed to announce its players' return to the 2002 Olympics - with
the game that couldn't help but remind everyone why the NHL players
should return to the Olympics.
Thanks to an aptly timed Avalanche-Sabres game, the two men
responsible for making the last Winter Olympic hockey tournament so
spectacular were facing each other from opposite goals.
