Twin engines Opetaia sisters spike the opposition for Sand Creek

On Oct. 13, Sand Creek was just another sub-.500 volleyball team,
fighting for its playoff life.
Nine straight wins and a district championship later, the
Scorpions (16-8) are in the Region A tournament, poised to make a run
at state.
"We've really come a long way," said Sand Creek coach Dale Miller.
After all, his Scorpions have not had a loss since Oct.12, when
Woodland Park edged them 15-12, 15-13.
After the setback, Miller decided to use only one setter in Alexis
Mable (328 assists) as a change from its regular two-setter offense.
