Pine Creek falls short on offense in 3-1 loss

AURORA - Pine Creek goalkeeper Andre Barrutia had 11 saves. His defensive teammates stopped multiple shots.

But his offensive teammates couldn't muster much offense, and that decided this contest.

As a result, Pine Creek's playoff dreams may have come crashing down in a 3-1 loss to Grandview.

Things didn't seem to be going well for Pine Creek before the game even started. The Eagles arrived late thanks to a Denver traffic jam, foreshadowing what was to come.

The Wolves scored quickly, before the Eagles had time to warm up.
