A fast-moving storm dumped more than a foot of snow Monday and Tuesday in parts of Colorado, but it left only a dusting in the Colorado Springs area.

About 1 inch of snow fell in the city and about 3 inches in the Black Forest, Monument and Ute Pass areas.

Skies were mostly sunny by late Tuesday afternoon, but temperatures in the 30s are expected to linger today. A warming trend is expected by Saturday, with highs climbing into the 50s and 60s, the National Weather Service said.
