Most, if not all, modern environmental issues are overstated, embellished or based on flimsy evidence. Nevertheless, most citizens and politicians seem eager to accept them as fact, even in the face of contradictory scientific findings. Drastic actions are demanded - and often legislation is enacted - before all the evidence can be weighed.
