Incline shut down forever / Firm to focus on cog railway

The owners of the Manitou Incline, one of the region's oldest
tourist attractions, have decided to permanently close the mile-long
train ride.
Citing declining ridership and a desire to focus more attention
on the more profitable Pikes Peak Cog Railway, the Manitou & Pikes
Peak Railway Co. announced Thursday the near-vertical incline will
not survive for its 82nd season.
