The Red Hot Chili Peppers has defined its own sound.
Fusing rap, rock, funk, thrash and soul gives the Peppers a
distinction that made its Saturday night slugfest-style concert
exciting. even if it was geared for those who were more in tune with
the band's music.
The Chili Peppers' brand of music could be a bit offensive to
the uninitiated. It was played with so much intensity, with an
emphasis on off-time, unexpected time changes and a few potent
vulgarities. that might have been overwhelming for some. But within
the context of the band's live act, everything fell into place.
