River Hill's Mantua Learns Not Many People Are Perfect

River Hill sophomore Scott Mantua didn't need to look far for
somebody who understood his situation. In fact, Mantua, a 103-
pounder, needed only to look to the edge of the wrestling mat.
As Mantua tried to extend his career undefeated record, Hawks
Coach Brandon Lauer watched closely; Lauer went 111-0 and won three
state titles while wrestling for River Hill in the late 1990s. (He
did not wrestle as a freshman because he was too light, a situation
that also prevented Mantua from wrestling last year.)
