Aging golf courses can be a developer's dream. The large and largely treeless tracts with well-maintained, rolling lawns easily can be converted into acres of new homes, neighborhood parks and playing fields. Across Maryland, developers are building houses on some former golf courses and eyeing others for their similar potential.
