MARQUETTE 80, VILLANOVA 67; Injection boost; Hayward's play sparks Golden Eagles

The Marquette Golden Eagles had been waiting all season for a
breakout performance from the highly touted Lazar Hayward.
They got it Monday night, and the timing couldn't have worked out
any better.
The freshman forward's energy was invaluable as he scored a
collegiate-high 18 points in 28 minutes to spark MU to a much-
needed 80-67 victory over the Villanova Wildcats at the Bradley
Center.
"He's been building to that, there's no question," coach Tom
Crean said. "If you look at the last few weeks closely, he's really
