Maryland junior guard Steve Francis will bypass his senior season to enter the NBA draft, according to sources close to Francis.

Francis, a second-team all-American from Takoma Park, will announce his decision today at a news conference at Cole Field House.

One source familiar with the situation said Francis met with Maryland Coach Gary Williams yesterday afternoon to finalize his decision. Another source said Francis's leaving Maryland has been "a done deal" for a while.
