Panda Energy enters Paris power plant pact
|
PARIS, Texas (JR) -- Panda Energy International has entered a
partnership agreement with FPL Energy on Panda's 1000 megawatt
merchant power plant located in Paris, Texas.
Under the partnership, FPL will be the majority owner and
managing, general partner in the new venture, called Lamar Power
Partners.
Duke/Fluor Daniel of Charlotte, N.C., has begun construction of
the facility. The plant will go online by June 2000. The project
will create up to 800 jobs during peak construction...
