Actions to stop an amorous bull place Duncan rancher in hot water

When his neighbor's 3-year-old bull had his way with another one of his cows this summer, it was the last straw for Dr. Robert Morton. He hauled the wandering romeo to the auction.

Morton said he is out thousands of dollars because the determined bull has impregnated five of his cows that were waiting to be bred with prize bulls.

The bull's former owners, who heard about its fate through the grapevine, are fighting mad and a grand jury may get in the middle of it. "I thought it was a felony -- theft of a domestic animal," said Raymond Burton, the Duncan resident who owned the half-longhorn, ...
