A Crusade to Remember; Riverdale Baptist Seniors Inspire Win Over Rival Largo; Riverdale Baptist Boys 86, Largo 72

Behind the play of seniors Robert Whitley and Brandon Merchant and an inspired defensive performance, Riverdale Baptist's boys basketball team made Largo's short trip down Maryland Route 202 unpleasant, overwhelming the Lions, 86-72, in yesterday's Riverdale Baptist Tip-Off Classic final in Upper Marlboro.

The "Battle of 202" had a little more meaning this year, after Coach Louis Wilson left public school Largo to take over at private Riverdale Baptist.
