Land Draws Interest for New School; School Board Focuses On Site in North Calvert

The Calvert County Board of Education met with county commissioners last week to again seek their support in building a fourth high school in the northern end of the county--the latest attempt to end a months-long dispute over whether to build north or south of Prince Frederick.

School officials indicated last week that even though the commissioners have yet to give their official support for the location, the school board has entered into a nonbinding contract for a parcel of land north of Prince Frederick in Huntingtown.
