Paulk: Impeachment Entails Solemn, Laborious Process

Impeachment of a public official in Oklahoma is a solemn
responsibility and a laborious process, state Rep. Bill Paulk
said Wednesday.
The Oklahoma City Democrat made that assertion in the wake of
mounting public pressure for Gov. David Walters to resign or be
ousted from office by the Oklahoma Legislature.
In exchange for dismissal of eight felony counts returned by
the multicounty grand jury, Walters pleaded guilty Oct. 21 to a
misdemeanor charge of violating state campaign contribution
laws.
