Appaloosa Show, Futurity to Have $5 Million Impact

Competitors in the 46th National Appaloosa Horse Show will participate in continuous activities at the State Fair of Oklahoma arena and elsewhere in Oklahoma City through July 10. The show began Tuesday with more than 1,100 horses entered from across the nation, from Florida to California.

Their activities, which include the Worldwide Appaloosa Futurity at Remington Park Monday, are expected to have a multimillion-dollar economic impact on the metropolitan Oklahoma City area. The show, which is under contract to return to Oklahoma City annually through 1997, is estimated ...
