WASHINGTON (AP) _ Two Oklahoma congressmen reached back to the era of the Great Depression to forge bills that would create a modern version of the Works Progress Administration.

Rep. Glenn English, D-Okla., and Sen. David Boren, D-Okla., said Thursday they would introduce bills in each house to create a modern version of the WPA, called the Community Works Project Administration.
