By Steven Vonder Haar Fort Worth Star-Telegram FORT WORTH - Edward Perry Bass, whose diverse holdings include a cattle ranch in Australia, a hotel in Nepal and a rain forest in Puerto Rico, now has landed a big chunk of Texas dirt.

Bass, 45, has paid nearly $12 million for a 12,226-acre ranch southwest of Fort Worth that is considered one of the oldest, largest and most beautiful tracts of prairie land near the Metroplex.
