FARM INCOME RISES 1.6%

WASHINGTON (AP) - Net farm income rose 1.6 percent to $970.5 million for Oklahoma in 1989, according to new figures released Wednesday by the Agriculture Department.

That number compares to $955.1 million for the state in 1988.

Agriculture Department figures also showed that overall U.S. net farm income increased last year, but the gains were limited to only about two-thirds of the states.
