Xtra Heat Adds Kattegat's Pride to Stable of Wins

When the Eclipse Award ballot for thoroughbred champions came out earlier this month, Xtra Heat's name wasn't even listed among the contenders for 2-year-old filly honors. While she may not have been the best in the country, the inexpensive, overachieving little bay sprinter has had a dominating year, winning eight of nine starts and losing only in the $1 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies at Churchill Downs.
