So we are truly entering the first year of the 21st century on Monday, or are we? It depends on when you begin the beginning of a new year, and in other cultures that differs considerably from our concept. While our Gregorian calendar is probably the most widely used in international travel, commerce and communications, many people around the world adhere to a different mode of calculating the passage of time.
