Technological advances made in America's space program will offer
increasingly important benefits to travel on earth, according to one
of the nation's first astronauts.
The search for an alternative-fuel, clean-burning engine could
be intensified if the National Aeronautics and Space Administration
were to consider thinking of some splinter groups, retired U.S. Air
Force Col. Gordon Cooper said.
