The month of May is significant to the birth of Avia Tech Inc. of Edmond.

It was five years ago this month when A.B. Stewart, now Avia Tech chairman and chief marketing officer, initiated a feasibility study to develop a noise reduction nacelle for the 707 series aircraft.

And it is this month that financing for the re-start of that project is expected to begin to take shape.
