Theconnection between United Oklahoma Bank, formerly known as Stock Yards Bank, and the Oklahoma City Stock Yards, the nation's largest stocker and feeder cattle market, goes back almost to statehood.

Although the name was changed to United Oklahoma Bank on April 25, 1977, the bank still maintained a listing in the telephone directory as "Stock Yards Bank, 1217 S. Agnew Blvd." - for the convenience of customers who would always think of it by that name.

When United Oklahoma Bank celebrated its 60th anniversary two years ago, on March 25, 1985, it used the theme:
