TEXAS AIR NET INCOME UP 81%

HOUSTON - An 81.58 percent jump in net income to a consolidated total of $124.98 million, or $3.54 per share, was reported Monday for the third quarter of 1986 by Texas Air Corp. of Houston.

The firm had reported net income of $68.8 million, or $2.85 per share, over the same period last year.

Texas Air owns Eastern Airlines and Continental Airlines, which service Will Rogers World Airport. In addition, Texas Air owns People Express airlines and New York Air.
