The FleetCenter crowd let it be known at the conclusion of
tonight's four-part U.S. Olympic gymnastics trials who it most wanted
on the Olympic team roster: "DOMINIQUE! DOMINIQUE!" many chanted,
just as Silver Spring's Dominique Dawes was swept up in a bearhug by
Bela Karolyi, a rare expression of exuberance for the U.S. national
team coordinator during these stomach-churning trials.
