Ismail: a Castaway No More; After Four Teams in Six Years, Wideout Anchors Ravens' Receiving Corps

During the offseason, Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Qadry Ismail
had a conversation with Minnesota's Cris Carter. Ismail sought out
the seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, his former teammate with the
Vikings, for advice on what he needed to do to build on last season's
success.
"He said in your mind, even though you know you're [a starter],
you have to have a mind-set of 'I'm coming in here as a backup,' "
Ismail said. "He said you always have to have that competitive, can't-
relax feeling. Then you'll never make a mistake."
