New Look fashions a merger for French ops
|
TELL your daughters not to go hunting for New Look stores on their
next trip to France. The British-owned fashion retailer is merging
its French operations with bigger rival Mim and scrapping the New
Look brand there.
New Look, which has 27 shops in northern France, has not reached
critical mass in the country since launching in 1988. The French
outlets last year made an 800,000 loss on sales of 10.1 million.
