Sultry Left Bank chanteuse Juliette Grco has matured like fine
wine.
IAN PHILLIPS is smitten
FOR legendary French singer Juliette Greco, the Htel Lutetia on
Paris's Left Bank is very much a second home. For more than 10 years
now she has lived in an old curate's house near Senlis, to the north
of the city, after being driven out of the French capital by noisy
neighbours and even noisier construction workers. She readily admits,
however, that she still "needs" Paris. "When I have things to do, I
come to the Luttia, sleep with the curtains open and look out at the
Eiffel Tower and Invalides."
