BOBBY ROBSON, the manager who gave Paul Gascoigne his chance on
the world stage, today gave a unique insight into the unstable mind
of the former England star.
The Newcastle manager, who described Gascoigne as "daft as a
brush" after giving him his England chance in 1988 and then saw the
Tottenham midfielder dominate the 1990 World Cup, was saddened by the
latest incident to put a question mark over Gascoigne's future.
