Taliban, journalists operate like thieves. The government forbids any
images of human beings or animals. So Stephan Gladieu, the
photographer whose pictures accompany this article, often had to work
undercover, literally, hiding his camera under a jacket. His
photographs show anonymous bystanders, who won't risk punishment for
having their faces published. But most of the material for this story
was stolen too. After all, any news...
