Icebreaker on way to save trapped seal cubs

A RUSSIAN shipping company is sending a ship to try to save
thousands of starving baby seals trapped on ice floes in the White
Sea, but it may be too late for many of the pups.
The seals, born in March, should have drifted on the ice back to
their usual feeding grounds in the Barents Sea. Strong north-east
winds have kept them in the White Sea, where they have nothing to
